THE "CHATUJJE BARI" (renamed as "SHIVALAY") is one of the few oldest continuously living families of the Bagnan Chaitanya Bati- adjoining the Raksha Kalitala and facing the Duraga Dalan, Post Office and BTS Club on the north; Gar Pukur on the east, "Mukujje Bari" on south-east and Banshtola (bamboo-bushes) surrounding the southern and the western boundaries. Tracing back several generations, Late Bholanath (my father) was Late Pitambar's grandson and Late Ramshashi's eldest son. Likewise, Late Nanigopal was Late Pitambar's grandson and Late Chandrashekhar's only son. The descendants of Late Pitambar's middle son (Late Niradbaran) do not live here any longer. Late Nanigopal's only son Shri Tarak-dada lives on the western part of Chatujje bari with his wife Lakshmi bowdi. And the eastern side is occupied by Late Bholanath's three sons- Amarnath (eldest), Jagannath (middle) and Kashinath (youngest) along with their mother Shivarani and their wives- Bharati, Anjana and Shampa respectively and their children Dhruva (in Delhi), Munmun (in Bangalore), Nandana (in Kanchrapara), Kaustav, Prodipta and Koushiki. Our Kula devata or the family deity is Lord Baneshwar and our Kula Guru is Param Pujya Shree Shree Thakur Sitaram Das Omkarnath Dev Ji Maharaj of Dumurdaha (Hooghly), whose holy grace keeps the entire village, particularly the area adjoining the Raksha Kalitala divinely sanctified and for all! Thakur's tirelessly preached Maha mantra naam kirtan is sung daily in holy Kundubari in the north-east side of Chatujje Bari:
