Hiranpur is a medium size village located in Hiranpur Block of Pakur district, Jharkhand.

Located around 17 km west of Pakaur, Hiranpur is a taluk headquarters in Pakaur District & of the largest and rapidly developing town in Pakur District. Famous St. lukes hospital is also situated here. Weekly Hiranpur haat (Hiranpur market) which held on Thursday is famous for weekly shopping for essential commodities, household items and equipment used for farming. Market is divided into different section depend upon the type of goods. For e.g. In subji haat you will find only seasonal vegetables, in murgi haat you will find only chicken. It is one of the biggest domestic animal trading market where you can buy and sell animal for farming, live stock, etc. Villagers from distant villages also come to buy or sell their products Thanks to modern transport system now they don't have to walk for tens of kilometer.
