Two 60 ft diameter parabolic antennas are located on Table Mountain west of Longmont, Colorado. They are designed for use at frequencies ranging from 400 MHz to 11 GHz and are owned by the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences (ITS), which is a research and engineering branch of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
The Table Mountain Field Site and Radio Quiet Zone, located north of Boulder, Colorado, supports fundamental research into the nature, interaction, and evaluation of telecommunication devices, systems, and services.
