Pasrur Sugar Mills Ltd. was established under PIDC in the seventies. It was a gift from Maulana Kausar Niazi to the local people who elected him as Member of Legislative Assembly. The Mill was commissioned in 1979. It was privatised in 1985 and is closed since 2004. People of the area are hopeful that it will be revived soon to help the local farming community.
