SLBM Loading & Unloading Crane Jetty

This facility is especially designed for the safe loading & unloading of the Delta III & Delta IV Class SSBNs of their SLBM nuclear missile payloads. It has been upgraded to handle the latest Delta IV SLBM payload, namely the latest R-29RMU Sineva (Russian: Синева, lit. "blueness") missile, also designated RSM-54 and given the NATO reporting name SS-N-23 Skiff.

In the picture above the jetty and crane are being used to place a R-29RM (Shtil) Nuclear SLBM - the previous version which is the SLBM used by the Delta-IV boats since 1986 prior to the present conversion to the RSM-54 Sineva (Blueness) , however, also NATO Classification (SS-N-23 "Skiff") - into the container capsule for the short road journey to the naval munitions depot located in the gully to the south.
