hill, district, draw only border
Housing estate located upon a local high point, which reaches 219 metres above sea level. It was originally an area of open moorland known as "Back Moor", of which the northern part of Oakes Park is the only remnant. The highest part is located close to Norton water tower, which was built here so that gravity would assist the water in flowing from the pipes emanating out of the tower to the surrounding housing areas.
