  • I am from CHANDIGHAR ,i have to maraog, the people are rich because of large quantity of good quality apple plantation,plus govt. Shemes,every house worth 5 to 11 crores,each famliy have more then 2 cars.It is village in no sense as roads ,electricity and water facility are abundant and good.internet ,dth have done good work.PCI is 50 lakhs. I am a geographer by the way.and have travelled whole India as well as other nations too.

  • yes maraog is the richest village in asia according to their anual income which sometimes goes upto 95+ lakhs just by producing orchards only and if goes for seasonal crops it willl be in crores and before maraog asia's richest village was kyaari in kotkhai... i dont know why people are posting useless comments when they dont know anything about the things..and the person saying "rajkot" is richest village let me clear that firstly its not a richest village and secondly its not village its a city.
  • @ruchi sharma:- there are many richest villages in chaina , japan, india, all commes in Asia, Village Rajkot is asias richest village, i git this report from Times of India, why are you posting such types of useless comment that maraog is richest village, your annual income can't tell that you are poor or rich, your total property and money can tell that how much poor and rich you are. what are you saying that annual income is 95+lakh , here are many villages in himacahal where annual income goes more than 120 crore, not only maraog here 99.9% are orchards in upper hp specially in kinnaur RAJKOT: Moolah is king in Gujarat's Madhapar village, some six km from Bhuj town. If the Rs 1,800 crore fixed deposits are an indication, Madhapar could well be Asia's richest village.   • I am from Maraog. It is not just fair to say that Maraog is richest in Asia. Income shown 95+ lac is of hardly 0.5 percentage of locals. Majority of people are on hand to mouth.

  • Maroag a small village in Tehsil Chopal, Shimla, H.P, India is said to be the richest village per capita income defeating Kiari and Bhagi. Maroag has a great GDP comparatively. So it's completely fair to announce Maroag as the richest village in Asia.
