Previously this school was upto Matriculation (X class) only. Later on it was upgraded to Higher Secondary level. Sh. S.R.Darapuri (Sarwan Ram) of Village Dara Pur was a student of this school from 1955 to 1960. In Middle Standard Eaxamination he secured 486 out of a total of 600 marks and stood first in all the Rural Punjab Schools. He passed his matriculation in 1960 and secured 697 marks out of 850 and was placed at 37th position in Merit in whole of Punjab. He broke previous school record of 680 marks. He also taught in this School in 1964-65. He became I.P.S. in 1972 and served in U.P. State. He retired in 2003 as Inspector Genearal of Police and is now settled at Lucknow.
