Add category
Pakistan's south-western province Balochistan is home to around 80 active mud volcanoes, some of which are the tallest in the world. Contrary to popular belief, the highly symmetrical cone-shaped Chandragup mud volcano further south from this place is not the tallest active mud volcano. This one stands much taller, at almost 1500ft compared to Chandragup's ~300ft. Chandragup has taken up the reputation of being the tallest mud volcano only because it is much more accessible and is easily visible even from the Makran coastal highway when the transparency is good enough.
