Kolasagar was named after the name lotus( kamal is known as kaul in local language, the stalk of lotus ).There was a lake in south of this village which was full of lotuses,remains are still there,now that lake is no more because that drained into a small local river Karula .

  • village kolasagar is inhabited mainly by Tyagi brahmins who have shifted from a nearby village . There were only few people inhabitted this area as farm house living at a different nearby place(presently Rahataully),and lator shifted to present location. There is a Junior high school in this area since 1925. Many people of this and nearby village who have studied here have attained senior posts in public as well as private offices.People can come together to improve this school and area through this forum.
