Hines Hall was originally built as a friary in 1950 and was turned into a residence hall in 1981. Hines Hall is currently home to 280 first-year and sophomore students, living in double, triple and quad-style rooms. Hines Hall has four lounges, one laundry facility and a 24-hour computer lab. The building also houses the Information Technology Services, faculty offices, Academic Community Engagement and the Siena Research Institute
