This meadow sorrounded with deep forest in the very middle of the Sopron mountains is quite an unique place. No cars, no people and traffic, just you and the mother nature.
Especially on clear nights you have stunning views; lots of stars, shooting stars in August (a bit in September too), constellations etc.
And of course wildlife (rabbit, deer, tusker, fox etc.)
It's one of the best chill out area in the whole Sopron mountains.
Please note , that the route (surfaced road) could be icy and snowy in the winter months. Only with winter tires , maybe snowchains, depending on road conditions.
Please also note, that in this area you haven't got gradient (mobile phone) or only Austrian network.
How to get there?
From Sopron via Brennbergbánya. At Brennbergbánya take a right to Hermes and just follow the surfaced road. After Hermes go ahead 2-3 kms.
