The historic former roundhouse for the Colorado Midland Railroad, which later became the Van Briggle Art Pottery "Midland Plant". Now an upscale retail center called "The Roundhouse".

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its significance in the area of transportation.

History:

The roundhouse was built in 1889, and was in use by the Colorado Midland and later by the Midland Terminal Railway until the latter shut down in 1949.

From 1955 to 2008 the building served as the main studio and gallery for the world famous Van Briggle Art Pottery, now located at 1024 South Tejon Street. Previously the company operated out of its "Memorial Plant", located at 1125 Glen Avenue.

The building was subsequently renovated at a cost of $2,500,000 and repurposed as a retail center.
