On March, 10th, 1934 the presidium of Main board of the Society of assistance to defence, aviation and chemical building Chuvash АССР has confirmed the charter of Cheboksary republican aeroclub. And on June, 22nd, 1934 to club the name of the Hero of Soviet Union of pilot A.V.Ljapidevsky who has shown bravery and courage in the conditions of Arctic regions at rescue of women and children from the lost ship "Cheljuskin" has been appropriated.

Workers of aeroclub supervised over mugs авиамоделистов at schools and the House of pioneers. After reception of corresponding skills many graduates of club arrived in military-aviation schools and schools of Civil air fleet.

In days of the Great Patriotic War all flight structure of Cheboksary aeroclub has left on front. Many of pupils of Cheboksary aeroclub have been awarded awards and medals for courage and the courage shown on fields of battle. Among them the native the Mythical stone, the Hero of Soviet Union Z.I.Parfyonov. Names of graduates of Cheboksary aeroclub of E.Krutovoj and M.Afanaseva name streets in the cities of Cheboksary and Novocheboksarsk.

The aeroclub problem consists in professional orientation of youth, initial preparation to aviation specialities, development of aviation kinds of sports. By the first chief of aeroclub Mefody Nikiforovich Plohov, the pilot, the commander of an avialink of Gorki regional aviaschool has been appointed. The first graduates of aeroclub became cadets of flight schools. Among them were Eugene Krutov and Michael Afanasev which names name streets in Novocheboksarsk and Cheboksary. Many of graduates of airclubs of Chuvashiya in days of the Great Patriotic War became Heroes of Soviet Union.

During the post-war period the aeroclub continued to prepare aviation shots for country Armed forces. In the activity he submitted to Volunteer society of assistance of aircraft Chuvash АССР, and since September, 7th, 1951 – to Volunteer society of assistance of army, aircraft and fleet (ДОСААФ) Chuvash АССР. According to Central Committee DOSAAF instructions on development of mass kinds of sports the aeroclub began to prepare sportsmen by various aviation kinds of sports.

On February, 14th, 1964 the Cheboksary republican aeroclub has been renamed into Cheboksary aviation-sports club of the Hero of Soviet Union A.V.Ljapidevsky. Since October, 1984 according to the decision of bureau of presidium of Central Committee DOSAAF of the USSR авиаспортклуб has begun preparation of cadets-pilots of early age for the higher military colleges of the Ministry of Defence of the USSR, and also for schools of Civil aircraft. In club sections on plane, parachute, aviamodelling and дельтапланерному to sports kinds operated. Among youth plane and parachute kinds of sports used the greatest popularity.

In March, 1995 Cheboksary авиаспортклуб has been renamed into Cheboksary aeroclub of the Hero of Soviet Union A.V.Ljapidevsky РОСТО.

The first masters of sports of the USSR in Chuvashiya on parachuting became Wolves, and on plane sports of Sparrows, Stepans. The champion of Chuvashiya among women became Majja Petrovna Kostin, the deserved master of sports, the numerous record-holder and the champion of Europe and the world. In total in авиаспортклубе it is prepared more than 60 masters of sports, among them the master of sports of the international class of Pots, Ignatyev, Hapkin, Davidov, Ilyin.
