Old Tehran's cemetery.
The main figure which is buried in this cemetery, is "Ibn-e Baabeveyh-e Ghomi", which is also known as "Sheykh-e Sadoogh". He was one of the greatest Shiite figures, which wrote important books containing the narrations of Prophet Mohammad(PBUH) and the Shiite Imams(PBUH).

Also, "Ali Akbar Dehkhoda", "Gholamreza Takhti" and many other Iranian famous figures from the Qajar and early Pahlavi dynasties are burried here.
Other figures are actor "Hadi eslami", artist and painter "Behzad Naghash/painter", "Asadollah Alam" prime minister of Shah- before revolution of 1979, mausoleum of "Bani-Sadr" relative- first President of Iran after Revoultion, martyrs of 31th of Tir of 1328- AJAX coup- Mosadeq's partisans- including late Dr "Fatemi" & his sister, mystic "Rajab-Ali Khayat", muezzin "Muezzin-Zadeh" -father and son, progeny of Qajar Dynasty ,Qajar Shah, so forth.

  • This area was home to small factories and warehouses. All has been chaged and alot of residential homes are built now. My father had a can makeing factory there. We were unable to continue his work and his factory was turned into condos. Anothr prominent trade was marble factories, they were also forced to shut down.
