Barwaha (hindi:बड़वाहा) is a municipality in Khargone district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. This is a beautiful town situated on the banks of the Narmada River. It has got the largest CISF training campus in India and is also known for its bright students. Many of the students from Kendriya Vidyalaya has gone to National level in various games and scouts and guide activities. As of 2001 India census,[1] Barwaha had a population of 24,914. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Barwaha has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 56% of the males and 44% of females literate. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
