The part of Garibaldi Street that from the Portico Romero continued toward St. Domenico, called so (street of the threshing floor) because it went toward the adjoining cultivated fields to the inhabited center. In the XVII century had called from the Spaniards, together with the tall part of the street, "Calle de Argiolas y de Herreros y de Incastru" (Street of Threshing Floor and of Blacksmiths and of the Castle)
