This is one of the biggest village in India. It's population would be around 0ne lakh and there are 2 Gram Panchayets, 1 BDO office, 2 High Schools and quite a large number of Primary Schools.
Margram is located on the banks of the Dwarka River. I am not sure but from my childhood I heard that "Margram" name came from a monk's name called Mandayava. You will find his temple/ashram just beside the Margram PS.
Another important thing with the name "Margram" is that you can write the letters from opposite direction and still you will frame the same word margraM. Very rarely you will find this.
Internet Services to Margram is provided by SkyNet Broadband Service, Rampurhat
