One of the schools in Tashkent that offered in-depth study of English. English classes were taught from the second grade by one of the best trained and skilled teachers and tutors in Soviet Uzbekistan. Big number of alumni of the school are at the helm of major international corporations in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom as well as in Moscow, Russia. Considered to be the "elite" school and it was elite per se - school was attended by children of almost every member of the communist era power crowd and establishment including the republic's leaders. The proximity of the school to the presidential office and residence played a big part in school's status. Unfortunately, with the demise of the Soviet Union and hence demise of "soviet education" school #91 has lost most of its revered educational qualities.
