The Perry Tree Centre is the first of a new range of buildings developed as part of Birmingham City Council's plans to improve older people's services.

The centres are designed to be centres of excellence, in particular for people with dementia, providing short term care and support for older people. The long-term accommodation is on the ground floor and operated by Birmingham City Council, while the short-term care and support for older people is provided by NHS Birmingham East and North on the first floor.

This home accommodates 32 residents in 32 single rooms (32 en suite). It was purpose built.
