A drinking establishment located in Roslyn, WA and the second oldest continuously operating tavern in Washington State. First opened at 1 Pennsylvania St. by John Buffo and Peter Giovanni, The Brick was established about ten years later, in 1898, when the structure was reconstructed out of 45,000 bricks, hence the name. Worldwide the tavern became famous to television audiences when its exterior was seen regularly (from 1990 to 1995) on the critically acclaimed series Northern Exposure, depicted as a fictitious tavern of the same name. The interior of the bar was not used on the show.
