Kanchanjunga Stadium

The only stadium of the city.It was earlier known as 'Tilak Maidan'.It is the main play ground of Siliguri.Construction of the stadium buldg was completed on 1988.That year the most extravagant football tournament of our country Neheru Gold Cup was arranged here.There after many games & events were organised here.Youth hostel,SAI complex & some other org.are accommodated here.

  • Ya, The older name of this ground was Tilak Maidan donated by Tilak Bahadur Chhetri to the School childern for the playing purpose.
  • The photograph was captured from BSNL Bldg.It would have been better if I had the ice claded Mt in the pic.which I'll try in the winter to make people understand the significance of the name of the Stadium.
