(Note: pronounced /ˈhaʊstən/, not /ˈhjustən/) Located on US Hwy 27 on the Miller side of the Early County/Miller County Line. The cemetery was established in 1887 on land donated by Confederate Soldier Edward J. Houston (1822-1887), which he "consigned in perpetuity to serve as a family burial ground for his and future generations." (Quoted from a monument erected at the site in 1980 by his descendants.)
