Ward of Exhibition is located in the front of Alun-alun Lor. The main part is the Pagelaran Hall, formerly named Tratag Rambat. The name of Bangsal Pagelaran was introduced after the refurbishment in 1921, during the reign of Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono VIII. This Hall was used as 'Garebeg Festive' which held three times in a year. Between the years 1946 to 1973, the hall was used as a lecture place of University of Gadjah Mada in the early days.
