Amongst the barangay in the tidal flat western portion of Marilao, is Nagbalon. It has total land area of 213.2 hectares, mostly for residential use and a bigger portion is devoted to fishpond. Although retail business is present, it is among the four barangays with the least number of business in Marilao. Source of livelihood for residents include private employment and a relatively big number is in the public transportation sector. There is one day care center, there is no private school, children of school age are enrolled in schools in neighboring barangays. At least three recreation areas can be found here, with one basketball court located in the only subdivision in Nagbalon, Villa Monteverde.

    this place is a peaceful, quiet and safe to live with despite frequent floods during typhoon.. people are friendly, peaceful and down to earth.. this place has low incidence of violence.
