A viewing area from which it is possible to see Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, Mount Adams, Mount Hood, and Mount Jefferson. 5 volcanoes in the Cascade Mountain Range. The observation area is surrounded by a rock wall, about 1.5 to 2 feet tall. Perfect for sitting and enjoying the view.
The surrounding wall is also special, in that the inside of the wall is very flat and is sloped slightly up towards the center of the circle. Aimed at a point approximately 4 to 5 feet above the center of the area. If a person stands exactly at the center of the circle and speaks out loud, they will hear their voice echoed back, in a full circle around them. Away from the center, the effect cannot be heard.
