This is where the Courier Mail and Sunday mail is printed.

This huge place employs only 6 ppl and dozens of robots.

Queensland Newspapers’ Murarrie printing plant, near the mouth of the Brisbane River 10km east of Brisbane’s inner-city, is one of the most modern plants of its kind in the world.

The 30,000sq m plant came on line in June 1995, the culmination of seven years of planning and design. It houses four state-of-the-art German Newsman 40 press units, each of which can produce 80,000 newspapers an hour. Compare this with the 30-year-old Goss presses at Bowen Hills, which could turn out just 50,000 newspapers an hour.

  • Do they really have robots working there?!?!?! holy crap! the future is here and its at Murrarie! (that's crazy in itself).
  • There are a lot more employees than 6. That does not even begin to cover the electricians, the printers, the dispatch, the cleaners and so on.
  • Have a look at the carpark you smack. Do you think that was built for 6 people?
