  • In 1964 I worked as a mechanic for Boroko Motors. It was owned by a Phylis Carter and managed by John Buchan. The owners residence was moved in 1966 and a showroom added to display the new cars. Flats were attached to the rear of the workshop where the mechanics and panel beaters lived. The panel shop was across the road, behind where the second hand cars were sold. They were great years.
