  • yeah, agbayani, agcaoili, etc. are just famous family names in Marede. i grew up in san vicente; had my elementary years at San Vicente Elem School and graduated at St. Anthony's Academy (noon pa ito ano?) in 1966! The principal of the academy was Sr. Victoria Encinas (heard she passed away and may she RIP) and the Franciscan Priest who established the academy was Fr. Gerry Fillipetto (not really sure about the spelling). I had a good memory (as well as bad ones) in that secluded place. If ever I have the time (and I don't know when this will be) I will still visit San Vicente, Sta. Ana, Cagayan, the place where I grew up and the birth place of my siblings. Mabuhay ang Sta. Ana and the surrounding barrios.
