Kopys (Russian: Копысь, Russian pronunciation: [ˈkopɨsʲ]) (Belarusian: Копысь, Belarusian pronunciation: [ˈkopɨsʲ]) is an urban-type settlement in Vitsebsk Voblast, Belarus. First references are dated by 1059. It is the birthplace of the current leader of the country, Alexander Lukashenko.
