Praglia is a Benedictine monastery located in the Padua, at the foot of Mount Lonzina in the town of Teolo and in the vicinity of Abano Terme. Its history is very constrained: it was founded in the eleventh century and for centuries it was essential to the agricultural management of the campaign Padua. In 1448 came under the jurisdiction of the church of Santa Giustina and joined the Benedictine monastic reform. In 1490 they joined the Benedictine church of the Assumption, designed by Tullio Lombardo (then radically transformed by Andrea Moroni). In the nineteenth century the abbey suffered supression and ruptures until the reopening in 1904.
Currently, the monastery is a center of excellence in the restoration of old books.
