This is a shrine whose story is very common to the inhbitants in the surroundings towns which I beleive is a mere factiod than a fact. It is beleived that Bibi Pusree after her marriage was travelling to her inlaws with her husband and some members of baraat, when they reached this location some thiefs took hold of them. At the moment she made dua to Allah that "help me escape the thief's even if you burry me alive in the soil beneath me and her dua was accepted". The earth opened and she was swallowed by the soil beneath her. At the miraculous moment the thiefs and dula and members of baraat ran away in fear and total shock. It is said that her dubatta or the piece of her cloth was left out when the soil beneath opened and swallowed her. However this was the story Lord knows how much is the truth and how much is false. But the sad thing is the people built a shrine over her grave so people can come and visit her which is prohibited by the Prophet Muhammad in Islam.
The sunnah is to raise the grave at least one hand above the ground so it is known that it is a grave. It is forbidden to raise it more than that. This is based on a narrative reported by Imam Muslim and others from Harun that Thamamah ibn Shufayy told him: "Once we were with Fadalah bin 'Ubayd in the Roman land of Brudis. One of our companions died and upon burying him we were ordered by Fudalah ibn 'Ubayd to level his grave. Then Fudalah said: 'I heard Allah's Messenger, peace be upon him, ordering people to level the graves of the deceased." It is reported from Abul al-Hayaj al-Asadi who said 'Ali bin Abu Talib told me: "Should I not instruct you to do as the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, instructed me? Do not leave a statue standing without removing it. Do not leave a grave raised without levelling it." Compiled by Imam Muslim
