Schriever Air Force Base, formerly known as Falcon Air Force Base, is a base of the United States Air Force. It is home to Air Force Space Command's 50th Space Wing, which provides command and control for Department of Defense warning, navigational, and communications satellites.

  • That's at 50th Space Wing in Schriever Air Force Base, that the whole GPS satellite Constellation is controlled. The GPS Master Clocks are found here.
  • Strangely, the Schreiver AFB is the only Air Force Base that doesn't have any runways !
  • Bolling AFB no longer has a runway...
  • Onizuka AFB (previously Sunnyvale AFB) in Sunnyvale, CA never had runways. It controlled the Air Force (and allied) satellites.
  • Nonsense. Quite few air force bases have no runways. Arnold, Goodfellow and the others listed below.
