  • Sardar Gurcharan Singh Virk (1806-1880s), belonged to this village of Chak Ramdas, born in 1806, in the house of Sardar Attar Singh Virk, who was a Zamindar, of the village, in 1833, Gurcharan Singh Virk joined the Sikh army at Lahore and served the Lahore Darbar upto its annexation in 1849. In 1867, leaving Sikhism, he joined the very Tiny Kuka sect, a sect founded in 1857, by Baba Ram Singh (1816-1885), a Sikh of village Bhaini in Ludhiana, who also served as a Risaldar of Lahore Darbar.

  • Yes. I (84years) was living in this village till 1947. There was a samadhi of baba Dhirmal. His descendants were called Bhayane and were treated as gurus. Most o the land around the village belonged to bhayanas- decendant of baba dhirmalji. On 14.8.1947 when Pakistani flag was unfurled in primary school across the jhawsrisn ,- bhera road, I was present there. All along I was searching CHAK RAMDAS but couldn't find. As the village name has been changed to chak mubarak
