Eremo San Bernardo (Castello Sottano)

This was a prison during the 19th century (and a defensive castle before)
it was,called 'Castello Sottano '(At one time the town was surrounded by defensive walls that connected the Castello Soprano and Castello Sottano. The Castello Sottano is better preserved than the Soprano, but it cannot be visited since it serves as the Franciscan Hermitage/Friary)

and has since 1960s become the Friary for the Frati Minori Rinnovati, or Franciscan Friars of Renweal, poor Franciscans, now call it Eremo San Bernardo, and have converted the Prison into a Chapel, and Franciscan monastery.
