A little mountain lake on the Eastern Parma Appennines, the Ballano lake is not far from the village of Monchio delle Corti. Around the lake are beech woods covering the mountains up to the top with many trekking routes on the Appennines, as the one to the Verde lake, reachable in less than one hour by foot.
