This is the Western Railway's mail/express main terminus, although the Bandra terminus further north, is taking over some of the loads to ease the congestion in this station.

From here, intercity trains leave and arrive on a daily basis. Trains that start and terminate here include: Kutch Express, Rajdhani Express, August Kranti Rajdhani Express, Paschim Express, Dehradun Mail, and more. These trains provide a route to many other major Indian cities, such as Delhi, Kota, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Gandhidham. There ia a seperate station which serves the Mumbai Local trains on Western Railway.
