This marks the trailhead to San Gregorio Res. off of FR70. FR70 continues beyond this place, tending generally south and connecting to Hy 126, though it is not mapped here at wikipedia (google maps). This junction is significant to those attending the gathering at Parque Venado, in that the Forest Service is making FR70 one way from the junction of FR69 and FR70 to this place (though they do not indicate which WAY the one way is, presumably it is one way FROM FR 69@70 TO this place. "Effective Friday, June 19, at 8 a.m., a one-way travel route will be used from the junction of Forest Road (FR) 69 and FR 70 west to the San Gregorio trailhead." (from a FS news release www.fs.fed.us/r3/sfe/rainbow/Rainbow_NR3.pdf.) Much of this information and the attempt at mapping FR70 south of here in wikipedia is from this presumably better topo map site: www.digital-topo-maps.com/ - no easy way to link to this area there (or I would).
