Wildon is a small town near Leibnitz in Styria, Austria. The town is estimated to have a population of 2,349 citizens. The village was first mentioned in 1219. It was mainly known due to a minstrel called Herrand von Wildonje, who lived during the 13th century and was also engaged in local politics. According to legends, Wildon got its name from a wild man who was living in a cave on a hill nearby. A medieval ruin is also situated on that hill.
