The Lily Loch

Originally a lochan (small loch) but enlarged and dammed to form a reservoir to provide an extra supply of water to Hillend reservoir via a spillway at the eastern end of the loch. Thereis also a take off of water from the western end via an underground pipeline which supplies Moffat Mills distillery.
