Bana Post, ht. 21007 ft (6404 m), is a little to the south of Bilafond La (or Pass of the Butterflies). It was Pakistan's Quaid Post till the 26th of June, 1987 till it was taken in a spectacularly brave direct assault by Sgt. Havildar Bana Singh of Jak Rifles. It remains with India. I think this is the correct position.

  • ... or 22,143 feet ...
  • Bana Top, previously Quaid Post exact elevation according to google map services is 20,538 ft or 6260 meter. The elevation we have been told were measured with old techniques, thus not accurate.
