  place comments: 37 months ago Dr Bommu VB Reddy 0 The foundation for this dam was laid out in 1983 by late NTR and MGR , both CMs of AP and TamilNadu as part of Telugu Ganga project to supply drinking water to Tamil Nadu and to irrigate dry lands . The water is drawn from Srisailam and stored Here. The capacity of dam is about 16TMC. 5 villages displaced during construction of earthern dam. Those are Basavapuram, Obularajupalli, Kothapalli, Jangamrajupalli and Gollapalli. The dam was completed , filled with water in 2006 and opened by Mrs Sonia Ghandhi, President of INC. Two temples were also submerged in the dam. Those are Narayanaswamy (salamma temple) and Narayanaswamy temple run by villagers of Obularajupalli. 5 months ago Kumar 0 The dam was constructed by taking lot of time.But the place is located is very spiritual.It is having very holly places around the dam. One is Veera Brahmam Gari Matham.Near to Mydukur ,Kadapa District .Andhra Pradesh,India. Every Body knows it in India.His forecasts/Predictions known by every common man in India. The second holly place is Bhairava Khona.It is in forest.To reach Bhairava Khona we have to engage the Four Wheeler.The holly god is Shiva. The name was came to this place by a person name called Bhairava.Once He gone to the forest for feeding the grass to his cows.Since drought no water is available to Cows.He requested Goddess which is nearby Mallelamma Temple in the forest if she gave water he presents his head to her.Having spiritual Power water came back when he went to residence. After that he went to the place of Mallelamma temple and tied his hair to the tree and himself cut his head from the body by an kodavali(arm).Where his body cut down from head in that location a Permanent water started coming out without any abstruction in any season whatever may be in sarround areas in all seasons even very very drought hit conditions. Tummalapalle Kondiah Swami : He is a saint born with the blessings of Bhairava Swami as his mother told to the public. He did not take a single rupee (Local currency)from any body.His forecasts/Predictions is not measurable.The great person.His age is around 25 to 30 years.He gives predictions about who came and request him.Daily hundreds of people came to him and asks the solvations for their problems.
