  • kee aarzoo Hai, to khud ko mitaa dekh | Pardaanasheen gar hai, to parde se aake dekh || Jisako too dhoondhataa hai, milegaa tujhe yaheen | Daryaa-e-ishq me jaraa, gotaa lagaa ke dekh || Masjid khudaa kaa ghar hai, yah kahate hain sheikh jee | Khud hee khudaa kaa ghar hai, khudee ko mitaa ke dekh || Mullaa kee bang sunate ho, shaamo shahar imaam | Baang-e-Ilaahee ho rahee, goshe mein aake dekh || Kauon se hans ban rahe, murshid ke paas mein | Taalib-e-deed gar hai, to sajade mein aake dekh ||" Translation: If you have a keen desire to see Khuda (God), destroy your ego before setting out in His search | If you are behind the curtains (of darkness, Light and Sound), come out of these (curtains) and see Him || He, whom you are looking for, can be found out here only, within this very body of yours (for this you don't have to wander outside) | Just try and take a dip in the waters of true love (of God) || Elders tell us that the mosque is the abode of Khuda (God) | In fact, your body itself is His home; just annihilate your vanity or egotism and see || O Imam ji (a religious Muslim leader)! You listen to the loud shouts or the prayer calls by the muezzin (one who sounds the prayer call in a mosque) everyday | The call of Khuda (God) has been resonating within you since eternity; (here the reference is clearly to the primeval or Quintessential Sound Current or 'Anaahat Naad' or 'gaibi aawaaz'); try (skilfully) to listen to that || Seeking the refuge of a True Guru, crows are getting transformed into swans (i.e. the malfeasant or licentious are getting converted into virtuous or righteous) | If you are really yearning to get a glimpse of Him, bow your head in respect there (in the shelter of a genuine preceptor).

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets. Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet. And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job. But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.
