For over 80 years this National Historic Landmark and local treasure has looked over downtown Long Beach. From its days as the premiere luxury apartment building in Long Beach to its current status as home of the most sought-after oceanfront condos in Long Beach, the Villa has maintained its mystique.

The Villa Riviera Hotel was constructed in 1929. At the time, it was the second-tallest building in Southern California after Los Angeles City Hall. Architect Richard D. King won a grand prize at an international contest for the design of the sixteen-story building. Construction costs exceeded two million dollars. Its architecture savors of the majestic Tudor Gothic, with a marked resemblance to the Italian and French Renaissance.

It has been the site of numerous Film and Television shows throughout it's 80 year history

In 1996, the Villa Riviera received recognition as a National Historical Landmark.
