Kendal Power Station is a coal-fired power station. It is sited in a coal-mining area; one of its sources is AEMFC's coal mine at Vlakfontein, near Ogies. With an installed capacity of 4116 MW Kendal is as of 2014 the biggest power station in Africa.
Kendal was built between 1982 and 1993.
