The church Saint-Léger is nicknamed the "cathedral of Hardt (cathédrale de la Hardt)" because of its dimensions. In 1875, the former 18th century church was demolished because it is too old and too small. The new church, built on private land bought by the town and according to the plans of the architect Victor Heilemann, was completed in 1876.
