Grodno hydroelectric power station (under construction)
The project involves the installation of five turbines with total capacity of 17.8 MW. Putting into operation is expected in 2010. This will be the largest hydropower plant in the country.
A characteristic feature of Grodno hydroelectric power plant is the fact that its operation is almost completely preserved consumable regime of the river, as the station will only work on domestic waste water (no flow control of water in the river) with a constant water level in the reservoir.
