Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology (मुजफ्फरपुर प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान) (commonly referred to as MIT, Muzaffarpur) is a public, coeducational College of Engineering located in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India and is wholly funded by Government of Bihar. It is among the Colleges of Engineering which came up just after India attained independence in 1947 (in 1954). The foundation stone of this institute was laid by the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. It runs undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Engineering and Pharmacy. The institute is one of the reputed institutions of Bihar having a scenic well laid-out campus at Muzaffarpur.

Its alumni hold responsible positions (some of them have reached top positions) in government departments, public sector and private sector organizations in India and abroad.
