Kalwaria Zebrzydowska is a town in southern Poland with 4,400 inhabitants (as of 1998). It is situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (since 1999); previously it was in Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship (1975-1998).Since 1772, and until 1918, it was part of the Austrian Empire.The town is named after the more famous Kalwaria Zebrzydowska park, a Mannerist architectural and park landscape complex and pilgrimage park in the 17th century, which was added in 1999 to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
