The X-Ray Astronomy Calibration and Testing (XACT) Facility of the Osservatorio Astronomico di Palermo "G.S. Vaiana" is used for the development and calibration of filters, detectors, and moderate angular resolution grazing incidence optics for astrophysical and laboratory applications. It includes vacum chambers, sources, monochromators, detectors, mechanical manipulators, electronics for data acquisition and control etc. to perform measurements in the spectrum ranging from visible light to soft X-rays.
